Need to send a firearm to a gunsmith, back to the manufacturer for warranty, or to a dealer in another state? You can't hand USPS, UPS, or FedEx a handgun and have it shipped yourself. As a licensed FFL, we package and ship it out for you — done right and fully documented.

1Bring your firearm to our Sussex shop with the destination's FFL info — the receiving dealer, gunsmith, or manufacturer (the destination must hold an FFL).

What we ship: firearms out to another licensed dealer (out-of-state purchase, sale, or relocation), to a gunsmith for repair or custom work, or back to the manufacturer for warranty and service.
Ships dealer-to-dealer only: by law the firearm must go to a licensed FFL — the receiving dealer, or a gunsmith or manufacturer that holds an FFL. We cannot ship a firearm to a private residence or anyone who isn't licensed.
Why you need us: since 2022, UPS and FedEx ship firearms only for FFL holders, and USPS won't accept handguns from private individuals at all — so an FFL has to send it for you. We make that simple and local.

Yes. Firearms Express LLC holds a Type 07 Federal Firearms License — a Manufacturer and Dealer license for firearms other than destructive devices. Our license is current and in good standing through November 1, 2028. Dealers shipping to us can download a copy of our FFL directly from our website.

Yes. Out-of-state customers can purchase ammunition at our Sussex store with a New Jersey non-resident (out-of-state) Firearms Purchaser ID card or a valid New Jersey carry permit. Bring valid photo ID and your credential, and we'll take care of the rest at the counter.
Can you ship my firearm to a gunsmith, manufacturer, or another dealer?
Yes. As a licensed FFL, we handle outbound firearm shipping \u2014 to another licensed dealer (including out of state), to a gunsmith for repair, or back to the manufacturer for warranty work. Since individuals can't ship firearms through UPS or FedEx and USPS won't take handguns from private parties, we send it for you \u2014 packaged and fully documented. By law it must ship to a licensed FFL \u2014 a dealer, or a gunsmith or manufacturer that holds an FFL — not to a private address.
